Rules & Regulation of RLMC Library
Ø The library will be open on all working days from 8:00am-8:00 pm.
Ø Leave your personal belongings (bags, briefcases, handbags etc.) in lockers at the library entrance.
Ø Take care of your belongings as library disclaims any responsibility for loss or damage.
Ø Silence and order must be maintained in the library at all times.
Ø Use of cell phone is prohibited in the library.
Ø To make the library environment more conducive for reading and research, gossiping, cell phone calls, sleeping, eating, drinking, smoking, chatting, and disturbing the order of library furniture is strictly prohibited.
Ø Use of flash drive without permission of librarian is prohibited to prevent system from any viruses.
Ø Journals and serials should not be issued to anyone.
Ø Reference books will not be issued to anyone.
Ø Professor, associate and assistant professor can borrow book for a period of one month, demonstrator for fifteen days and students for a period of seven days. There will be fine of 50 rupees per day for extra days.
Ø A maximum of six books for professor, four books for associate and assistant professor and two books for students and demonstrators will be issued at one time
Ø Any repairable damage to the issued books will be liable to expense of the borrower. Any irreparable damage. Loss, replacement of book/s will be required from the borrower.
Ø Submit library material(s) for inspection, if requested.
Ø Underlining, marking, folding and tearing pages of library materials is prohibited.
Ø Leave the library materials on tables after consulting the reference books.
Ø Head of the department will be responsible for the departmental library.
Ø Library membership card is compulsory for all admitted students.
Library membership could be suspended or canceled along with a penalty in the following cases:
ü Non payment of library fine(s) on the overdue books.
ü Theft of any library material(s)
ü Non payment of damage fine
ü Non returning of the temporary issued material within due time
ü Any kind of disturbance in library
ü Misconduct with the library staff
ü Breaching of established library rules and norms.
